Jail time for breach

Campbellton - A 38 year-old Campbellton man was sent to jail for two weeks for having a few drinks on Christmas Eve.

Roland Perry Carrier appeared before Judge Pierre Dube in Campbellton Provincial Court April 21 where he pleaded guilty to breaching a probation order issued last April that forbid him from drinking.

He was picked up after RCMP officers saw him staggering down Water St. in Campbellton around 1:30 a.m. Christmas Eve. Besides the two week jail term, Carrier was put on 12 months probation.
