There is still work

I would like to know why so many people say there are no jobs in the area yet in the industry I am in, it is almost impossible to find someone to work. For example, I went to Campbellton and decided to get myself a Soup & Sweets coffee and it was closed. I thought "oh no, another one went under".

But not at all. They have to close at 4 p.m. for lack of staff! Can you believe that, lack of staff? I guess the local economy must be booming like out west — we can't find staff to work at a coffee shop.

It's a valid letter. There are a lot of people who complain there is "no work". Well, they are wrong. There IS work in this region.

But who wants to work for minimum wage?? Not me. Paying for childcare, gas and the price of insurance, plus power rates. NO THANK YOU.

I know for a fact that people that work in a coffee shop probably almost double their income with tips which no longer makes it a minimum wage job.
