Letter to the editor

Dear Editor,

I have a couple of issues I would like to address in this letter. First, I would like to compliment the City of Campbellton and it's workers for a job well done on the waterfront. I spent a couple of hours on the waterfront taking pictures, enjoying the scenery, and meeting tourists. Our scenery in this area is beautiful and I'm always in awe when I look around and see how fortunate we are to have this scenery. We must never take it for granted!

Regarding the Salmon Festival, thank you to all people involved for making it such a success. It involves a lot of hard work and there is never enough volunteers. I know by being a volunteer various times that you can never satisfy everyone. To the Salmon Festival Committee, I tip my hat to you! Great job! You as a committee must remember that criticism is not always bad. You can turn it around by using these comments to improve the festival in the future. Also, those that have comments to make try to make sure that it's done in a constructive matter. By volunteering your time you may experience the wonderful feeling you get by helping others, and all it takes is your time!

My husband and I are leaving Campbellton in the near future and we will always have fond memories of this area. We will be proud to tell people about the beauty and friendliness of Campbellton and the surrounding areas.

A proud citizen,

Barbara Methot
