Belledune 40th Anniversary

2008 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Village of Belledune. Although our community has evolved considerably over the past forty years certain things remain unchanged. Our vast open space complimented by an endless scenic shoreline is a constant reminder of the sheer beauty of our village and that our predominantly rural fabric remains intact. Undeniably, the quest to create opportunities for especially younger people so that they can live and raise families here is Belledune remains constant. However, with the services currently available such as schools and churches as well as a host of recreational facilities in the form of an upgraded arena, campground, modern playground, among others, I feel very confident that as long as we continue to focus proactively with an ear to the ground and an eye to the future the next forty years will only compliment the first forty.

I invite all citizens to speak proudly of our village and to participate in planning events. Also, to nonresidents, I extend a great big welcome if you have not yet visited with us.

Finally, congratulations and best wishes to all of the good people of Belledune!
