There was a time when Dalhousie had its own telephone office, upstairs in the former Royal Bank building. It moved there in 1931, after fire destroyed the former office. Recently, a group of former employees held a reunion at the Canton Restaurant in Dalhousie. Taking part were, seated, former chief operator Eva (Carrier) Good; standing, from left, June (Arseneault) Harquail, Mary-Lou (Gallie) Ferlatte, Shirley (Carter) Smith, and Peggy (Frenette) Gallant. The photo was taken by another former operator, Mary-Lou Ferlatte. Several others were unable to attend.
