Dalhousie - Brittany Savoy of Dalhousie is a Grade 12 student at Dalhousie Regional High School and is involved in many sports programs there.
She has been playing sports as an extra curricular activity for almost 10 years now. Some of the teams she lends her time to are the basketball and volleyball teams.
She has won many awards for her participation in sports. She was named MVP for her basketball team, she was also named an all-star for a game she and her teammates played in Sussex.
"I love sports," she said. "I find it hard to choose just one but I would have to say basketball."
Savoy said she would love to continue with athletics once she leaves high school.
"I hope to continue to play sports in university," she said, "I also hope to perhaps become a coach."
When asked what she hopes to do professionally in the future she said, "I want to become a physiotherapist." She added playing sports was what helped her make the decision to enter this profession. "Physiotherapists often deal with athletes," she said.
When she was asked what has been her favorite moment in her sports life she said, "Winning my last home game, which led to our school to host the regionals."
Savoie is very enthusiastic what the future may hold but says the one thing that is certain is that it will defiantly include sports.
