Boston - Five local girls played alongside other female hockey players from New Brunswick and Cape Breton from Aug. 5-10 at the New England Sports Center.

The team played well but ran into stiff competition in the semi-finals where they played the USA under-19 team losing 7-1. Although the score was one sided in the end, the game was close with the USA squad up by only a single goal at 2-1 before turning up the heat.

The team with five Restigouche players was the only team in the tournament to score against the USA Selects.

Members of the team offered thanks to its local sponsors; the Dalhousie Rotary Club, Dalhousie Industrial Credit Union, The Snow Birds Committee, Dalhousie Lion's Club and Ronnie Doyle of Price Chopper.
