Heidi Scott, 13, daughter of Irving and Shirley Scott of Bathurst, was the overall winner at the District 15 Heritage Fair held at Dalhousie Middle School on May 7. The Superior Middle School student's project was on the former W. J. Kent and Co. store, where her mother once worked. It included artifacts such as a brass cylinder used to transport money by air pressure through an intricate tubing system. Heidi now gets to attend the National Heritage Fair in Victoria, B.C later this year.
