Comfort Inn in Campbellton will be hosting the “Support the Troops” flags on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. These flags are taken across Eastern Canada to allow hotel guests, hotel staff and local military family resource centers to sign the flags showing their support for our troops and their families. Anyone may stop by a participating hotel to sign the flags.

In 2007, Geraldine Dixon of Ottawa started her Support the Troop flag campaign in an effort to raise $100,000 for the Military Fund and to show support to our troops overseas www.supporttroopsflags.com

The Support the Troops flag campaign will cover 18 participating hotels in Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Eastern Ontario ending in Trenton, Ontario in mid-November. Each hotel will host the flags for a day locally in order to collect signatures of support.
