Two accidents in same spot

Campbellton - For the second time in a week last week, a car and motorcycle collided in the Campbellton area with both accidents seeing only minor injuries reported.
Around 4 p.m. on Sept. 23, a tow truck belonging to Mundle's in Campbellton had pulled off the side of Route 11 with a mechanical problem about three kms from Campbellton heading toward Dalhousie. When Cpl. Michel Forest arrived on the scene, the tow truck was on fire but it was quickly put out.
While Forest was on the scene, he looked back and saw people waving to him about 800 m away. He drove to the scene to find that a motorcycle had hit a car.
Forest said the driver of the motorcycle, an American man on vacation, said that he had come up over the hill and only saw the car at the last second and was unable to stop. The car had pulled over because the local woman at the wheel had seen the tow truck pulled over further down the highway.
The motorcycle ran into the back of her car, breaking its forks on impact. The car, motorcycle and the tow truck were all then towed back to Campbellton.
On Sept. 16, a car and motorcycle collided at the intersection of Andrew and Water Streets around 9 a.m.
No one was seriously injured.
