Local teams advance to NBIAA final

The Sugarloaf Senior High School Lady Bruins finished third in the regional tournament held in Sackville at Mount Allison University. They will be seeded number three from the Northeast Conference at next weekend's provincials to be held in Grand Falls.

Leah Murray was named the MVP for the Lady Bruins.

Also qualifying were the Dalhousie Regional High School Lady Condors, who took home a fifth place finish in the eight-team regional tournament. They will be the fifth seed next weekend's 10-team tournament. They needed a three-set win over Tantramar in the 5th place match on the weekend to qualify for provincials.

Brittany Savoy was named MVP for the DRHS squad.
