Tee to Green
Published Wednesday August 27th, 2008

Congrats to this year's club champions. The same two men were fighting tooth and nail right down to the last hole with Darren MacPherson coming away as champion. Gerry Duguay gave MacPherson a good game and was the winner of the senior division.
Gerry could have tied Darren on the 18th hole and just missed making a birdie to force a playoff. He missed his par putt giving Darren a two stroke win but the title was up for grabs with five holes left as they were tied after 14 holes.
JJ Allison won the junior title last Friday.
Congrats also goes out to three of our senior members who played solid in Pokemouche last Thursday on the latest stop of the North Shore Senior circuit.
Francois Doucet, Ron Lagace and Norman Webb all shot 78, tied for the fourth lowest round of the tournament.
As for the article on the John Leblanc tournament I made a couple of mistakes. The fishing trip auctioned off for about $1,600 was for the Cold Springs Lodge, not Larry's Gulch and the golf clubs won by Joe Doucet (not Alex) were donated by Jerry Wysote, not Hedley. Hopefully no one was too put out my the blunders.
This week is void of any scheduled events so call for your tee time today! Also, for non-members, don't forget about the late season deals, the two for one on green fees or the half year membership. For members, don't forget the Patsy is next week so sign up soon.
